We’re looking for one:

Business Development Manager

£16.93 per hour

21 hours per week

  • The right person will be a great communicator verbally and in writing.
  • They will be motivated and motivational. Passionate about our organisations and our services.
  • They will demonstrate to donors, trusts, the statutory sector and corporate organisations how together, with the right resources, our organisations can change lives.

This role will be on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

(continuation of this role is dependent on income generation.)

Llanelli Mind is a local mental health organisation which has been providing vital support services and information to people across Carmarthenshire for over 30 years. We are an autonomous organisation affiliated to the national charity Mind and a registered charity in our own right.

We offer a range of excellent courses and activities along with support through our Welcome Centre. Our Befriending service offers support for people with mental health problems across Carmarthenshire and our Twilight service offers out of hours support four nights a week. The service also works closely with a local GP cluster providing a therapeutic service including counselling We also:

  • campaign for the introduction of new services and improvements to existing ones;
  • challenge stigma and discrimination;
  • raise awareness;
  • and promote understanding.

We are actively involved at a local and county-wide level in health and social care decision making, forums, and stakeholder groups, as a key third sector partner. We are funded by Supporting People, Carmarthenshire County Council and Hywel Dda.




There’s a great new peer support opportunity in West Wales during October.  The “Gobaith Peer Support Project” (from Mind Aberystwyth, Llanelli Mind and Mind Pembrokeshire) offers funding, training and support to new or existing community groups focussed on people affected by suicide or self-harm.  Further details available on Mind Aberystwyth website.
